The House That Love Built

This journey started with a simple phone call. It went like this: “Dad do you want me to come out to help you?” Silence. “Yes” “When?” “Tomorrow.”. This journey started with that moment when you realize someone you love might need more help than they are able to express, the realization that your life is about to change and as always, a tiny glimpse of my fathers’ wonderful sense of humor.
We have so many things to be grateful for. So many blessings.  I am so blessed to be able to live in the moment, recognize the love in my life on a daily basis and share the joy of each moment with each of you.
Each and every one of you is a part of this story of love and family.
This place that welcomes everyone with open arms, warm smiles. UCC La Jolla is sanctuary, the house that love built, home.
Each in your own way making hardship bearable, stewardship a common goal and fun contagious.
Every hug, every kind word, every thoughtful and kind gesture, every second spent in conversation (you all know I can talk! :-) ), every second you spent listening, encouraging, counseling and teaching.
Someone said once that people don’t always remember what you say but they do remember how you make them feel. I hope it is true. I hope I remember this feeling always.
So, I thought I would hold the mirror up and let you all see just a few of the moments that define my relationship with this church and the sweet, sweet spirit of the people that also call it home.
Blessings and joy!

Bronwyn~
